AVERNUM 6 GAMEBANSHEE SKIN
After choosing a stature, face, hair, and skin color, I was in the game, ready to go. As long as I was going to deal some damage, it seemed like a good idea to deal more. These guys are the hellfire of spell casters throwing around air, water, fire, and earth magic with abandon. From the list of possibilities including other classes such as Necromancers, Rangers, Mesmers (naughty psycho spell casting characters), and Monks, I chose the Elementalist category. This adds the possibility for some interesting combinations. All characters pick a primary class, as I did, but also have to choose a secondary class from the same set. Besides that, I've always been good at clubbing and stabbing things. They're very useful and in fact, necessary to have along on the field for several reasons. They're about fighting, killing, getting in the thick of things and being tanks. I had built spellcasters and rangers, but had never really jumped into the bruisers of the bunch. I had already created characters in the past to play on previous trips to ArenaNet. So we'll take you through the process one step at a time, beginning with character creation. To understand this, it's necessary to understand the basic concepts behind the game. Guild Wars may be fast paced much of the time, but it's far from mindless. It's not only action oriented, but it's also strategic. Finally, the last and biggest reason this game will probably appeal to different (and probably more) people than the average MMO is the gameplay style. So whenever players see the "A new version of the game is ready" pop up on the screen, they can just close out and then load back up in order to take advantage of the changes. What's better, patches can be made to the game while the servers are up.
AVERNUM 6 GAMEBANSHEE DOWNLOAD
Upon loading and entering different areas, the game will download all of the information that you need to play in each area. A simple and very small client file is all players need to download for Guild Wars. Now, I'm not one that can really dive into the techie side of things, I'm just a lowly game junkie without many brain cells left, but I can tell you that their way of loading and updating games is interesting. The second reason this game is so interesting is its structure and programming. They're also hoping these players will like the game enough to go out and buy the expansions that will extend the story, add new content, and increase playability. ArenaNet and publisher NCSoft are hoping that the game has enough appeal, strategy, and polish to keep players coming back for more. That's right, no monthly charge to jump on the servers and play, which surely has several gaggles of gamers bouncing around happily. This is an MMO without a subscription fee. The biggest one of these has been well publicized, but is worth mentioning again. Guild Wars is an interesting game for several reasons.
